  The term Detox is generally a dietary intervention designed to flush out or eliminate the toxins from our body.

  Detox therapies are mostly recommended to flush out the toxic chemicals from the food we consume such as pollutants, heavy metals,         synthetic chemicals, and other harmful compounds. 

 

  This process of detoxification helps us from various diseases such as obesity, digestive issues, Immune system diseases, inflammation, allergies, bloating, and chronic fatigue. 

 

Ways of detoxification

 

 There are many ways to detox the body which helps to flush out all the toxins such as 

 

  • Drinking plenty of fresh fruits and vegetable juices, smoothies, and water before breakfast makes magic to our body and flushes out all the toxins.
  • Never miss breakfast after the detox drink. We can have some healthy soups and smoothies which keep us full and control the cravings. 
  • Stop consuming alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, and refined sugar and start sipping some healthy drinks which can help us detox such as green tea, lemon tea, ginger tea, etc. It helps the body lose weight and boosts the metabolic rate. 
  • Often keep a fast for one to three days by drinking only liquids such as salted water and lemon juice etc.
  • Do a physical activity every day at least for 60 minutes.
  • Good sleep solves almost everything along with your body, the mind also gets detoxed, and the brain pushes out all the toxins only when the hormones are stable and balanced, and only then you will get good sleep.

  • Breakfast can be taken such as a detox smoothie which includes egg whites, omelet, oats, Quinoa, celery, avocado with chia seeds, Strawberries, Banana with flax seeds, blueberries with organic honey, 

 

  • Mid-morning snacks such as oranges, almonds, apples, walnuts, fruit juices with honey, green tea, etc.

 

  • Lunch should always be taken which is highly nutritious such as Brown rice with sauteed veggies like mushroom garlic, onions, carrots, and beans which are rich in fiber. If people don’t want to have rice, they can have salads with chicken, cherry tomatoes, avocado, boiled black-eyed peas, yogurt, tuna, broccoli, sprouts, spinach, feta salads, etc.
